OFFICIAL RULES AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE THE CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. CONTEST IS SUBJECT TO ALL APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL REGULATIONS.

  1. Eligibility: The Voting Contest and Million Dollar Scrum is open to any team that registers at www.S7Rugby.com by someone who is 18 years of age or older.  The Voting Contest and Million Dollar Scrum is void where prohibited by law. The term “you”, “your”, “participant”, “winner”, “contestant”, “team”, “winner”, “entrant”, “voter”, “participant” includes you, your team, and your organization.  The Voting Contest and Million Dollar Scrum is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. Each team will need to provide a team logo and team picture that will be used by S7 Rugby LLC from promotional purposes (See Official Rule and Term and Condition 8).

The Voting Contest for the Million Dollar Scrum will have six category divisions, each with their own eligibility criteria.

YOUTH BOYS (Age Range 15-18)

Players in the YOUTH division must be at least 15 years of age and not older than 18 years of age on the date of the Million Dollar Scrum competition.

Participants of YOUTH BOY teams invited to travel to Las Vegas, Nevada for the Million Dollar Scrum competition will need to have a parent/guardian complete and sign a waiver.

YOUTH GIRLS (Age Range 15-18)

Players in the YOUTH division must be at least 15 years of age and not older than 18 years of age on the date of the Million Dollar Scrum competition.

Participants of YOUTH GIRL teams invited to travel to Las Vegas, Nevada for the Million Dollar Scrum competition will need to have a parent/guardian complete and sign a waiver.

COLLEGE MEN (Age Range 18-23)

Players in the COLLEGE division must be at least 18 years of age and not older than 23 years of age on the date of the Million Dollar Scrum competition.

All players on the team must be registered with the same University and the University will need to provide a letter that all participants are enrolled as a full time student and in good standing with the University.

COLLEGE WOMEN (Age Range 18-23)

Players in the COLLEGE division must be at least 18 years of age and not older than 23 years of age on the date of the Million Dollar Scrum competition.

All players on the team must be registered with the same University and the University will need to provide a letter that all participants are enrolled as a full time student and in good standing with the University.

SENIOR MEN (Age 18+)

Players in the SENIOR division must be at least 18 years of age on the date of the Million Dollar Scrum competition.

SENIOR WOMEN (Age 18+)

Players in the SENIOR division must be at least 18 years of age on the date of the Million Dollar Scrum competition.

NOTE: By participating in the Million Dollar Scrum, each team and each participant (players, coaches, & staff) acknowledges that the Million Dollar Scrum will include physical activities and physical contact involving Super 7s Rugby style of play.  Players must warrant that they are physically fit and, if determined as the invitee to the Million Dollar Scrum, fully able to participate in a Super 7s Rugby match and have not been advised to avoid Super 7s Rugby by a medical practitioner. Furthermore, Players must have health, accident, and liability insurance to cover any bodily injury or property damage which they may suffer while participating in the Million Dollar Scrum and the all activities associated with the Million Dollar Scrum (if determined as an invitee to the Million Dollar Scrum). If the invited team or any of the teams participants (players, coaches, and staff) does not have insurance as described above, the team (players, coaches, and staff) agrees to bear the costs of any injury or damage to himself/herself and in no event will S7 Rugby LLC, or S7 Rugby LLC affiliates, advertisers, venue, and all “released parties” (See Official Rule and Term and Condition #9) be liable for such costs.

2. Agreement to Rules: By participating, the participant (“You” “Team”) agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, you agree to accept the decisions of S7 Rugby LLC as final and binding as it relates to the content of this Voting Contest and the Million Dollar Scrum.

3. Campaign Period: Entries of teams will be accepted online starting on May 8, 2019 12:00PM EST  and ending June 18, 2019 23:59PM EST. All online entries of team must be received by June 18, 2019 23:59PM EST. Voting will be permitted online starting on May 8, 2019 12:00PM EST and ending June 18, 2019 23:59PM EST. All online votes must be received by June 18, 2019 23:59PM EST. At the conclusion of the voting period, the two teams with the most votes from each category division will be invited to play against each other in the Million Dollar Scrum in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 6th, 2019.

4. How to Enter: The Contest must be entered by submitting an entry using the online form provided at www.S7Rugby.com. The entry must fulfill all contest requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win an invite to the Million Dollar Scrum competition. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules, or specifications, or standards of S7 Rugby LLC, may be disqualified at the sole discretion of S7 Rugby LLC. You must provide the information requested. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities, or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules. If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules, your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of S7 Rugby LLC. Once your team is registered and populated into the appropriate category division online poll, voting can begin for you team. By participating in the Voting Contest and/or Millions Dollar Scrum, each team further agrees that in the event S7 Rugby LLC requests that such team remove any publicity or other materials relating to the team participation in the Voting Contest or Million Dollar Scrum, if applicable, from digital or social media or otherwise broadcast to the public, such team will promptly comply with each such request.

5. Prizes: The top two teams of each category division with the most votes at the conclusion of the voting period will be deemed the Winner(s). The Winner(s) of the Voting Contest (the “Winner”) will receive a invite to participate in the Million Dollar Scrum in Las Vegas, Nevada where they will play a Super 7s Rugby match, following Super 7s Rugby match rules, against the other winner from the respective category division on July 6th,, 2019.  Travel to and from Las Vegas, Nevada for the Million Dollar Scrum and accommodation in Las Vegas, Nevada for the Million Dollar Scrum will be at the cost and responsibility of the participating team(s).

S7 Rugby LLC shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions, substitutions, or any act or omissions whatsoever by the air carriers, hotels, other transportation companies, or any other persons providing any of these services and accommodations necessitated by same. S7 Rugby LLC not be liable for any loss or damage to baggage. If for any reason the Million Dollar Scrum competition is delayed, cancelled, or postponed S7 Rugby LLC reserve the right, but are not obligated, to cancel or modify the Million Dollar Scrum contest and matches in their sole discretion. The winning teams receiving an invitation to the Million Dollar Scrum is solely responsible for obtaining any and all necessary travel documents (including, but not limited to, valid photo identification, credit card, etc.) before departure. S7 Rugby LLC will not be responsible for any failure by the any invited team to attend the Million Dollar Scrum due to flight or travel mishaps or delays. S7 Rugby LLC will not be responsible for Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage, or any other natural disaster outside their control that may cause the cancellation or rescheduling of the Million Dollar Scrum.   

All teams and participants invited to the Million Dollar Scrum will be required to attend a Million Dollar Scrum Dinner on Friday, July 5th, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. All teams and participants invited to the Million Dollar Scrum must participate in all media and promotional events required and requested by S7 Rugby LLC which may occur prior, during, and after the Million Dollar Scrum competition.   

Winner of the Senior Men Division Super 7s Rugby Match will be awarded a $300,000 prize. Winner of the Senior Women Division Super 7s Rugby Match will be awarded a $300,000 prize. Winner of the College Men Division Super 7s Rugby Match will be awarded a $150,000 prize. Winner of the College Women Division Super 7s Rugby Match will receive a $150,000 prize. Winner of the Youth Boys Division Super 7s Rugby Match will receive a $50,000 prize. Winner of the Youth Girls Division Super 7s Rugby Match will receive a $50,000 prize. All federal, state, and local taxes on the Million Dollar Scrum Prize(s) are the Winner’s responsibility. The Winner’s will be issued a 1099 tax form or equivalent tax form for the Million Dollar Scrum Prize.

Once travel is booked, travel dates cannot be changed unless by S7 Rugby LLC in their sole discretion. If a Voting Contest winning team is unable to travel, the team will forfeit in entirety and S7 Rugby LLC will have no further obligations to such contest winner.  The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by S7 Rugby LLC. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at S7 Rugby LLC discretion. The prize is nontransferable. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of Winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by winner is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for S7 Rugby LLC to use winner’s name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

6. Odds: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible teams registered and eligible entries received.

7. Winner Selection and Notification: Winner will be selected by public vote under the supervision of S7 Rugby LLC.

During the Contest Voting Period, teams will be voted on by the public.  All profiles and media content submitted by or on behalf of a team are property of S7 Rugby LLC and will not be returned. S7 Rugby LLC reserve the right to modify highlight reels and photos in their sole discretion. Voters (as defined below) can vote once, every hour, via the S7 Rugby LLC  website (www.S7Rugby.com) in each category division (Senior Men, Senior Women, College Men, College Women, Youth Boys, Youth Girls). The top two teams with the highest number of valid votes (as determined by S7 Rugby LLC in each category division at the conclusion of the Voting Contest will receive an invite to compete against each other at the Million Dollar Scrum in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 6th, 2019. Invited teams will be subject to verification of eligibility by S7 Rugby LLC. S7 Rugby LLC reserves the right to choose an alternative team in any category division, in its sole discretion, it determines that there are voting irregularities or other unsportsmanlike conduct on the part of the applicable team or voters. Teams invitation to the Million Dollar Scrum are subject to the team acceptance of the invitation, verification of eligibility, and compliance with these Official Rules and Terms and Conditions.  

The contest will have six category divisions; Senior Men, Senior Women, College Men, College Women, Youth Boys, and Youth Girls. Eligible voters must be individuals acting of their own volition and in compliance with these Official Rules and Terms and Conditions (each a “Voter” and collectively “Voters”). Voters may click on the appropriate link on the Website to submit a vote. Limit of one vote, per hour, for each category division. Teams are also eligible to receive an additional vote with the use of a Twitter account. For all tweets that contain the three hashtags #S7Rugby #MillionDollarScrum and the assigned hashtag from S7 Rugby LLC, an additional vote will be awarded to the team whose unique hashtag was used. Votes via Twitter will be calculated and added to each teams tally every three hours. Only original tweets will generate a vote for the team. Retweets and likes will not generate a vote(s) for the team.  Tweets that are in poor taste will not generate a vote. Tweets from accounts that are suspected to be bogus or fake and have low activity will not generate a vote. All tweets are subject to Twitter’s “Twitter Rules” (Click Here).  S7 Rugby LLC has the discretion to keep the Twitter voting option open during the entire Voting Contest, a portion of the Voting Contest and/or has the absolute right to suspend or end the Twitter voting option at any time, for any reason. All Twitter voting contest rules are subject to change. In addition, S7 Rugby LLC reserves the right to hold additional contests to allow teams to be awarded additional votes. Additional contests may or may not include all registered teams and is at the complete and final discretion of S7 Rugby LLC. In the unlikely event of a tie in voting results, a winner from such tie will be selected through a random drawing conducted by S7 Rugby LLC. If Voters choose to vote via mobile device, such Voter will be responsible for all related charges. Voters should consult their service plan and provider agreement prior to voting via a mobile device. Discovery by S7 Rugby LLC of material evidence of attempt(s) to use robotic or automatic devices, third-party services, incentives, bribes, vote-swapping sites, redirect links, disguised or fraudulent links, or other tactics to place impermissible votes will result in disqualification of the responsible Voter from participation in the Voting Contest, and may result in further investigations by S7 Rugby LLC regarding potential coordination with a team.  Coordination of improper voting by or with a team violates the spirit of sportsmanship for this Contest.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL VOTING DURING THE CONTEST VOTING PERIOD IS LIMITED TO ONE VOTE, PER HOUR, FOR EACH CATEGORY DIVISION.

By participating in the Contest, each team agrees and acknowledges that substantial swings in voting may occur during the Contest Voting Period and that these swings are not inherently evidence of improper conduct by other Voters.  The spirit of the Contest is fair competition and good sportsmanship. S7 Rugby LLC expect Voters, teams, and their supporters to act accordingly. S7 Rugby LLC are looking for teams who want to participate in the Contest and win it the “right way” through fair-play and drumming up voting support in their teams, schools and communities. However, using unsportsmanlike means to get votes including, but not limited to, the following will be deemed inappropriate and is expressly prohibited:

• payment for votes through online or other vote generating services;

• offer of giveaways or any other incentives for votes, or allowing others to provide incentives for votes including, but not limited to, giving away free or discounted food, beverages, services, or merchandise in exchange for voting for a certain team;

• use of scripts, macros, bots, or any automated system to vote or with the intent to impair the integrity of the voting process during any Voting Period;

• voting through any means with the intent to impair the integrity of the voting process;

• disparaging or harassing conduct related to teams or Voters in person and/or on social media; and

• any other fraudulent, inappropriate, or unsportsmanlike conduct as determined in S7 Rugby LLC sole and absolute discretion.  

Votes generated by any means that subvert these Official Rules and Terms and Conditions or the spirit of the Voting Contest may be declared void in the sole discretion of S7 Rugby LLC. Players deemed to have violated the spirit of the Voting Contest, as determined in S7 Rugby LLC sole and absolute discretion, may be disqualified. Decisions by S7 Rugby LLC are final and binding on all matters relating to the Voting Contest. By agreeing to participate in the Voting Contest and Contest Voting Period, each team and Voter agrees to abide by S7 Rugby LLC decisions and waives any and all claims arising out of S7 Rugby LLC decisions related to the Voting Contest and Millions Dollar Scrum.

Winner will be notified by telephone and/or email within five (5) days following the close of the voting poll. S7 Rugby LLC shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the invitation to the Million Dollar Scrum within 7 days from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and release as required, the prize may be forfeited, and an alternate Winner selected. Teams receiving the invite to the Million Dollar Scrum will be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release, Code of Conduct, and a Publicity/Media Release. Teams receiving the invite must submit a team and staff roster within 7 days of notification. Any changes after the team and staff roster has been submitted must be approved by S7 Rugby LLC. S7 Rugby LLC has sole discretion to approve or not approve any roster changes. All documents must be returned within seven (7) days of their receipt. If documents are not returned within the time period specified, a contest winner will be disqualified, and an alternate winner will be  selected by S7 Rugby LLC. Voting Contest winners may be required to execute additional releases and documentation. No transfer or assignment of any prize or invitation to the Million Dollar Scrum is permitted. Receipt by Winner of the invitation to the Million Dollar Scrum and the prize offered at the Million Dollar Scrum in this contest is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS BY WINNER (AT S7 RUGBY LLC SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE CONTEST, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.

8. Rights Granted by You: By entering this contest (e.g., photo, video, text, etc.), You understand and agree that S7 Rugby LLC, anyone acting on behalf of S7 Rugby LLC, and S7 Rugby LLC licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, your entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the Voting Contest and Million Dollar Scrum, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes, without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.  By entering this contest, you represent and warrant that your entry is an original work of authorship, and does not violate any third party’s proprietary or intellectual property rights. If your entry infringes upon the intellectual property right of another, you will be disqualified at the sole discretion of S7 Rugby LLC. If the content of your entry is claimed to constitute infringement of any proprietary or intellectual proprietary rights of any third party, you shall, at your sole expense, defend or settle against such claims. You shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless S7 Rugby LLC from and against any suit, proceeding, claims, liability, loss, damage, costs or expense, which S7 Rugby LLC may incur, suffer, or be required to pay arising out of such infringement or suspected infringement of any third party’s right.

9.  INDEMNITY: By entering or participating in the Voting Contest and/or Million Dollar Scrum, you agree to release, discharge and hold harmless each of the Voting Contest and Million Dollar Scrum Entities, S7 Rugby LLC, each of their respective parent, subsidiary, related and affiliated companies, advertising and promotional agencies and prize suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors and representatives (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, liabilities, losses and damages, including but not limited to negligence and damages of any kind to persons and property, including but not limited to death, personal injury, defamation, slander, libel, violation of right of publicity in the Voting Contest and Million Dollar Scrum. By entering or participating in the Voting Contest and/or Million Dollar Scrum, each participant irrevocably and unconditionally agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless each of the Released Parties from and against any and all liability, claims, loss, damage, penalty, injury or expense, including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs, of any kind or nature whatsoever, by whomever asserted arising out of or in connection with:

  • participation in the Voting Contest and/or Million Dollar Scrum or activities associated with the Voting Contest and/or Million Dollar Scrum, whether occurring before, during or after actual participation in the Voting Contest and/or Million Dollar Scrum

  • a breach or alleged breach of any representations, warranties or obligations made or undertaken by participant

  • Released Parties' (individually or collectively) use or failure to use any of the rights granted in connection with the Voting Contest and/or Million Dollar Scrum

  • any statement, action or omission of a participant during or in connection with the Voting Contest and/or Million Dollar Scrum or resulting directly or indirectly from the Voting Contest and/or Million Dollar Scrum (whether before, during or after actual participation in the Voting Contest and/or Million Dollar Scrum)

  • acceptance, possession, or use of any prize.

10. Additional Terms & Conditions: S7 Rugby LLC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond S7 Rugby LLC control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Voting Contest and Million Dollar Scrum. S7 Rugby LLC has the sole power and absolute discretion to terminate or modify the Voting Contest and Million Dollar Scrum competition at any time, without cause or prior notice, and to interpret the rules and make decisions regarding the interpretation of the rules and amend or clarify the rules at anytime in its sole and absolute discretion. If S7 Rugby LLC do amend or clarify these rules, S7 Rugby LLC will post the amended rules on our website at www.S7Rugby.com. All decisions of S7 Rugby LLC in respect to this contest and interpretation of these Official Rules and Terms and Conditions are final and legally binding and conclusive in all matters. No participant or winner shall have any right to challenge or contest any decision of S7 Rugby LLC concerning the contest, its rules, interpretations, determinations, eligibility, verification, timeliness, winners, prizes or any other matter.  In such case S7 Rugby LLC may select the Winner from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by S7 Rugby LLC. S7 Rugby LLC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Voting Contest or website or violates these Official Rules and Terms and Conditions. S7 Rugby LLC has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the Voting Contest, to void votes for any reason, including, but not limited to: multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by Voting Contest rules; or the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Voting Contest and Million Dollar Scrum may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such attempt be made, S7 Rugby LLC reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. No advertising or promotion agencies, nor any service providers are responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any service, or any other error or malfunction, or for late, stolen, lost, postage due, illegible or misdirected entries or mail, or for transactions that are processed late or incorrectly. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. Activity deemed abusive or improper by S7 Rugby LLC, in its sole discretion, will result in disqualification from Voting Contest and/or Million Dollar Scrum. S7 Rugby LLC reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable value at its discretion. Acceptance of invite constitutes permission to use winner’s name and likeness for publicity and promotional purposes, including but not limited to photographs, voice recordings and any statement made by the winner without further compensation or permission. By entering this contest, each participant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and Terms and Conditions.

11. Limitation of Liability: By entering, You agree to release and hold harmless S7 Rugby LLC and its subsidiaries, affiliates, the Million Dollar Scrum venues,  advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from:

  • such entrant’s participation in the Contest and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof

  • technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment

  • the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service

  • unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion

  • electronic or human error in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries.

12. Disputes: THIS Campaign IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF the United States of American AND Pennsylvania, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Voting Contest and/or Million Dollar Scrum, participant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Voting Contest and/or Million Dollar Scrum, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Chester, Pennsylvania having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances shall participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees, other than participant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. costs associated with entering this Voting Contest and/or Million Dollar Scrum). Participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.

14. Sponsor: The Sponsor of the Campaign is S7 Rugby LLC.

15. The Voting Contest and Million Dollar Scrum by S7 Rugby LLC is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, or any other 3rd party social media platform.
