Philadelphia, PA - May 30, 2019 - for Immediate Release- The S7 Rugby group is thrilled to announce that one of the world's most decorated and well known Rugby Sevens stars has registered to be included in the upcoming S7 Summer Series player draft.  Collins Injera of Kenya has placed his name into the data base of players expressing their desire to play in the new S7 league. The upcoming draft will fill out the rosters of the 12 teams who will compete in the  S7 Summer Series that will play in 6 cities in the summer of 2019.

"We hoped our new form of rugby 7s would attract elite level players, and Injera is an all-timer," stated Ken Bozarth, VP of League Operations of S7 rugby.  "We are thrilled that Collins has registered with us for the S7 Draft, along with a number of his world famous Kenyan team mates. We believe his presence will be the catalyst for many other world class rugby 7s players to join in on the fun and excitement of S7 this Summer."

Still a star for the Kenyan Sevens national squad, Injera made an immediate hit with his debut in 2006 at the Dubai Sevens and played in the 2009 Rugby World Cup Sevens.  He became the top try scorer for 2008–09 IRB Sevens World Series season with 42. Injera won the Kenyan Sportsman of the Year award in 2009,  He  also played for the Kenya national rugby union team (15s) at his usual position left wing (number 11), playing at the 2011 World Cup Qualifiers.
